These emigrants settled in a variety of countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand. The decline of the textile industry in the mid-19th century, the German Revolution of 1848, and the Thirty Years' War in the 17th century were all factors that contributed to Hessian emigration during this period. | |
